JayMax built and installed a new front door and side light. They gave us design options for hardware and finish of the product. They cleared away all the debris and were so careful not to damage our wallpaper, limiting what we needed to do once they had finished. Our house is so much warmer now and secure.

Jaymax Joinery replaced our old roof lantern with a complete new unit made from Accoya timber & double glazed with toughened glass.

Fit-out was completed by the team in one day to a very high standard.

We live in an extremely exposed house at high elevation in Perthshire and had real trouble finding a company we felt understood the issues we faced in replacing the windows and doors. Jaymax understood the issues and gave sound advice on what type of windows we needed and the right wood for the job. They have just made and delivered 9 new windows and new front and back doors, all in Accoya and fully finished. We have our own fitter. Compared to the other quotes we managed to obtain (most companies refused to even visit the property), their prices were reasonable for the quality of product. The only slight issue was the length of time it took to get a detailed, correct quote and they didn't always answer phone messages or emails without prompting last year, thought they have been significantly better in 2020. And the test of a good company is how they handle things if they go wrong. When the windows were delivered, they were only undercoated - an understandable error as the finish had been changed just before the final quote. One phone call and they immediately resolved the issue without any quibble - the windows were returned fully-finished a few days later, ensuring they were here in plenty of time for the fitter to begin work. The quality of the bespoke new (almost 8 foot high) arched front doors is really impressive with every little detail we asked for taken care of. We hope to continue replacing the remaining windows and doors over the next few years and Jaymax will definitely get the orders.

Prompt service from the outset to replace windows in a listed building. Holly provided valuable assistance with the application, and window manufacturing commenced shortly after approval, with a date set for fitting. This was done by an excellent joinery team, with attention to finishing detail and care taken to leave the property in a very tidy state every day. Jaymax fitted a built-in bookcase for us a couple of months ago. We asked for a 4 meter bookcase that would look as though it had been installed when the house was built – as though it was an original feature of our living-room. We could not have been more delighted with the result. The care and professionalism of the Jaymax team was wonderful, and we were impressed by the attention to detail that the team displayed. We now have a wonderful addition to the room that really adds character to the house. Throughout the whole process, the team were meticulous: they turned up on time, made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted, and performed the whole task in a clean, tidy and efficient manner. Like other reviewers, we found the Jaymax team to be very nice, reliable and approachable, and we were happy to have them in our home. Overall, the workmanship was great and the value for money first-rate too. They also produced a coffee-table using railway sleepers, and we are absolutely delighted with that too. Jaymax Joinery recently installed double glazed sash and case windows in my property. The windows look fantastic and I am extremely pleased with them. Jaymax were professional and very reliable at each stage of the process, showing up when they said they would. The installation was very efficient with the property being left in a tidy condition. I liked the fact that I could pop in to the workshop in order to discuss things and make decisions about the finishing etc. I also felt comfortable with all of the workers that were in my property. There was a minor issue with the finishing but the painter came back and sorted it out for me. I would definitely recommend Jaymax and would use again should I ever require any other work done in the future.

We had 14 windows replaced (a mix of mainly sash and case and a few casement) in mid December and the work was completed on time, efficiently, professionally and to an extremely high standard.

The windows are absolutely stunning and we had them fully finished which makes such a difference.

I got a very competitive quote for new windows. All the people I dealt with were always polite and helpful and they came and did the job when they said they would. Shutters were reinstated so they actually fit properly now. The workmen did a good job of cleaning up after the work. Quality "old-fashioned" joinery work (that's a compliment). Our doors were made in traditional manner - paneled, mortise & tenon joints etc., and the work was perfect and good value for money. They also made us a solid paneled oak exterior door a few years ago and this was perfect too.

For a small business, their desire to produce a quality product is commendable. This company takes care about what it does and how it treats those who deal with it.

We live in a listed building adjacent to Edinburgh Castle. Nothing, including the windows, is just straight. As a result when we needed to replace a large window it had to be manufactured for us - which involved very careful measurements and quite a complex design.

The end product supplied by Jaymax represented the best window that has even been made for us - it is a masterpiece and fits superbly in a position that is heavily exposed to high winds and rain.

Apart from the excellent workmanship I really enjoyed my friendly relationship with this company and its staff.

Jaymax provided top quality double glazed wooden framed windows on time and to specification. They were fitted with the minimum of disruption - given that we had all but one room of the house re-glazed.
