Found Jake via trust trader. Was fast at responding to my original text and came out next day and had a price the same day and me booked in for 10 days later. As well as this, he organised a plasterer for me which he never had to do. Him and his team done an excellent job, and also left the place tidy when they left. I had a few questions regarding the type of paint as I wasn't sure, he explained it thoroughly and was patient. I couldn’t recommend Jake anymore, quality of work was amazing, really organised, excellent communication and got the work sorted within 2 weeks (including a plasterer). This was the second time we had used Jake for exterior painting - although this was a much bigger job being all the exterior walls, drainpipes etc. Jake is easy to communicate with and was able to schedule the work when it suited us and using the paint we wanted. Jake came out promptly to survey the site and note our requirements and was able to fit us in very quickly into his work schedule. Jake and his team took great care to cover up doors, patio paving, windows and roof structures so as to avoid paint splashes and damage. After agreeing a costing Jake supplied a agreed start date to complete the work in my 4 Bedroom House to Paint all rooms and Paper two main walls.

Scott was left to run the job and was very professional in the way he handled the work required to complete to a high standard.

We had our kitchen repainted which included sanding and filling all the walls to repair previous damage. The team were very reliable, very personable and very professional, turning up exactly when they said they would and tidying up behind themselves at the end of each day. All in all an excellent job. Just a few minor paint splashes here and there but all easily cleaned up, and would definitely use them again.

I had 3 bedrooms , an en-suite and hall stairs and landing done . This involved mainly painting with 2 feature walls papering . The guys arrived each morning at 8 am and we was told of the work they would be doing that day . They cleaned up and hoovered at the end of each days . Work was of a good standard with only a few unwanted splashes which were easily cleaned Rooms look great. Would recommend this company.

Jake and his employees did external decoration to timber finishes on my (and a neighbours) 3 storey townhouse and so there was significant work to be done at height, which others were reluctant to carry out or were prohibitively expensive.

We’ve known Jake for many, many years and always found him to be the complete professional. When we decided to decorate our entire house from top to bottom we had no hesitation in making contact with Jake who in turn visited us very promptly to discuss and consider our ideas. He provided us with a very detailed and comprehensive estimate within a couple of days along with a schedule which covered a four week programme. Work started at the beginning of the year.

I never go with the lowest quotation. This was not the lowest quotation but was not the highest. I look, first and foremost, for high quality workmanship, professionalism, a conscientious approach and excellent reviews. These high expectations were met in full by Jake Donald. Jake painted all external surfaces of our detached 1952 home. All roughcast walls, garage doors, front doors, upper floor dormers and front gates were painstakingly and thoroughly prepared (the secret to all quality finishes) prior to application of appropriate metal protective coatings or undercoats followed by two or three coats of paint as required. The look and feel of the finished job is excellent. Jake took his time to ensure that every line and every border was true. All paint used was high quality Dulux Weathershield and which will provide long term protection. My wife and I are over the moon with how this work has transformed the look of our home. I will be asking Jake Donald Painter & Decorator to return at some point in the future to carry out further home improvements. Thank you, Jake.

Jake is a very amiable, pleasant and courteous guy. I got him to repaint the eaves of my house. The work was hampered by the monsoon season at the end of June but he managed to negotiate that very well. The job was made difficult by a) the eaves are made of plywood and during the work several layers came away and b) over the years I have touched them up by daubing black paint on them to leave the paint very thick in places. When they were sanded they were very rough. Jake filled them and they looked very smooth. The first cut looked ok but they weren't good enough for him so he had a second fill of them and a repaint so they look really good. He was going to leave his scaffolding in the back garden and pick it up a couple of days later. A chance comment of my wife was wishing for her garden back resulted in them being removed straightaway. That indicates excellent customer-awareness and customer-focus. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend to a friend.
