JA Plumbing Services offers a wide range of services including bathroom design and installation,full central heating services from a radiator change to a full central heating system and everything in between.
We also offer an all trades service including joinery, tiling, plastering, electrics plumbers. This allows each project to be carried out from start to finish by JA Plumbing Services.

My Mum’s hot water tank burst and flooded her bathroom. In a panic Mum called a company who came out to help her. The long and short they let her down.
Through Trusted Trader we found John. He was absolutely amazing. Came out gave us a quote.
The work was done to a very high standard. The house was left clean and tidy. He also did some extra bits that he found while there. At no extra cost.
Would highly recommend J.A. Plumbing. He gives honest advice and fair quote for the work. Never felt pressured once to take him on. We really appreciate everything that was done and how easy it was to feel we were in save hands.

Replacement boiler and HW cylinder plus electrics.
John and his team were very efficient, ensuring floors were protected before starting. Installation was completed in a day, all debris removed and floors hoovered before leaving.

We struggled to find a plumber to renovate our bathroom and cloakroom, then happily someone recommended John. His quote was quick and competitive, he offered good advice and advised us every step of the way. John and his mate Kevin are extremely hard working, organised and easy to talk to guys. They left our house very tidy, with a really smart bathroom and cloakroom. We will definitely be using John’s services in the future.

The work was carried out on the date discussed and on budget. After the work was completed John made sure the house was left tidy, hoovering and clearing all the rubbish.

John is an exceptional plumber. Him and his team worked extremely hard and they were professional, reliable, personable and always on time. Right from the initial contact, John had kept in touch and always answered any queries quickly. The refit of our bathroom was done in a good and timely manner and progress photos were also taken too.

We have recently completed the remodelling of our cloakroom/toilet. John Allan did a splendid job for us. He provided his estimate, kept in good communication with us up to and during the project, and left everything neat and tidy on completion. John was exactly what we wanted - not only extremely competent, but also able to work things through when the instructions for some of the kit were obscure to say the least.
A very nice, helpful and courteous guy. We would have no hesitation in approaching him for further work in the future.

After seeing other works completed with John and his team l knew that I did not need to get any other quotations to strip out and remodel my bathroom. John surveyed my bathroom and his knowledge and enthusiasm was first class recommending that he could reposition wc and towel rail to get more room for me, he provided me with a quotation very quickly and detailed. I agreed to his price and went away on holiday leaving him and his team alone in my house to carry out the installation trusting him completely. While on holiday John kept me updated on a daily basis with progress photographs.
I returned from holiday to find an amazing transformation on my bathroom which left me so happy with the result, my house was also left spic and span after the renovation.

A poorly installed wet room floor (undertaken by a building company) with cracked grout and tile movement was stripped back and a new floor complete with underfloor heating was then replaced by John and his colleagues.
I cannot praise John and Kevin highly enough for their hand work in taking the floor back to a state it could be then effectively worked on. The tiler, Krzysztof completed the tiling to a very high standard.
I am extremely happy to have a fully functioning wet room floor that looks fabulous. John has a excellent work ethic and achieving a good result for his customer is of great importance to him. Very much recommend John and his business.

Being new to Midlothian, we had no prior knowledge of tradesman so during the extensive renovations to our home, we have largely taken a chance on people through sites like trusted trader. And it has paid off!
John recently installed 4 new bathrooms for us. Given the scale of the work, we organised for it to be done while we were away on 2 weeks holidays. Given the scale of the works, we weren’t expecting the full job to be done in this time but John and his team worked incredibly hard to achieve this for us and we returned back to an (almost) finished job and an incredibly clean house!

John and his team done a full bathroom installation plus a new Combi boiler. From first contact through his Facebook page to the completion of the work, the service received was 1st class. The whole job was completed in 3.5 days and to a very high standard at a fantastic price compared to a lot of higher profile companies. We had a leak in our shower cubicle which we thought might have to be replaced. John said it only required to be re-sealed which saved us a fortune. We got him to fit ceiling panels, downlights and a new fan at the same time. We are delighted with the finished product and would definitely recommend him. He also left the house tidier than he found it!

We found John through this website rather than a personal recommendation but feel like we struck gold. He was helpful from start to finish- helpful suggestions for products we might not have considered, but also willing to use whatever fittings we wanted rather than using his own supplier. He provided a estimate promptly and accommodated various changes to that and nothing ever seemed to be a problem or trouble. He rearranged original dates to suit when we could move out to meet lockdown restrictions. He arranged and subcontracted work like decorators and window renovations with reliable quality workers. His work is to a very high standard and everything left tidy with any small snags sorted quickly. It was all completed on time and on budget - he did some extra insulating of a wall without adding to the estimate. Highly recommended. I’ve added before, during and after photos.

I recently chose John to do a complete floor to ceiling bathroom refurbishment in my daughter's flat. I liked his 'can do' attitude from the start, unlike many tradesmen where everything is a problem.
The end result is simply stunning and my daughter and I are absolutely delighted with it. The job was completed ahead of schedule, when I noticed a couple of very minor snags John came back the next day and sorted it out.
And there was no mess to clear up either, which is amazing considering what had to be done, including the complete strip out of the old bathroom. Fantastic quality of workmanship and excellent service too. I highly recommend JA Plumbing and would definitely use again.

We hired JA Plumbing to refit our en-suite after reading a number of positive reviews online but we didn’t have a personal recommendation so felt we were taking a bit of a chance. We shouldn’t have worried. Having had a lot of building work done in recent years, this was definitely one of our best and smoothest experiences.
John advised us on ways to optimise use of our limited space and achieve what we were looking for. He provided a clear and reasonable quote to supply and fit our new en-suite. He also coordinated all tradespeople needed for the job - roofer (fans), joiner, tiler, electrician and decorator. All turned up when they said they would, worked efficiently and cleared up when they left. If any left after John, he contacted me to make sure I was happy with the work. Excellent customer service.

J A Plumbing carried out all works with fantastic co-ordination of Joiner, Plumber and Electrician, all operatives were first class and kept the working area and route protected at all times, they all tidied up on completion of each task, hoovering and dusting carried out constantly.
Work was carried out within a week with excellent workmanship. From someone who has been in the building trade for 51 years I was delighted with the quality and performance from J A Plumbing. I would not hesitate to recommend them at all

John renewed my bathroom after he had given me very helpful advice what could be done in a room of limited size. Pipes needed to be brought under the floor, the position of the basin changed, bath tub renewed and floors tiled.

We asked John to remove our p shaped bath and shower (its glass screen had shattered) and instal an new walk-in type shower, plus re tile the walls as neccessary, and fix our poorly flushing toilet as well. There was only one week to do it in. John was very careful to look at all angles to see if it was possible, and reassured us with help about choice of tray and glass. He did it and we were amazed really. We now have the lovely shower we needed and wanted - and our toilet flushes much better! A great job, JA Plumbing Services!

Refurbished our bathroom following a toilet leak which had destroyed the floorboards. They took the existing units including toilet and basin with extreme care so as not to disturb the existing tiles. They then did a great job of fitting a brand new vanity unit into the space, which was a challenge given that it had to fit into a non standard size space. Really pleased with the result - looks like we’ve had a whole new bathroom thanks to their attention to detail. The guys were friendly, on time and communication straightforward. Would definitely recommend.

I employed JA Plumbing Services to install a new combi boiler and central heating radiators, on the recommendation of a family member.
John and his team were extremely helpful and professional, completing the job very neatly, quickly and efficiently.
Right from the initial visit by John to give his advice and to prepare a quote, through to the completion of the job, the team could not be faulted. The system installed is excellent and on completion all rubbish, including the old boiler and radiators were removed, leaving the house neat and tidy.
I highly recommend this company for their professionalism, the execution of the job, all at a good value-for-money, competitive price.

John has fitted an en suite shower room for us. He had really good ideas for getting the best use out of the space available. His work was excellent and carried out in the time specified. He has also fitted a boiler for us. At some point we hope to replace our bathroom and plan to use him for that. Would definitely recommend.

I had seen John's work on Facebook and met him through a friend. He installed my bathroom and organised everything from start to finish including plasterer, tiler and electrician. Was always there when he said he would be and was always happy to advise me on things. Would recommend him to anyone who asks and already have
