Artex ceilings, one slopes, were skimmed and plastered and painted. The walls were in a terrible state and were repaired: taped, plastered. All walls were lined with paper. A geometric design wallpaper was made into a feature wall and other walls were painted. Woodwork was painted or stained. Radiators were painted. Preparation was excellent. The finished job definitely benefitted from the thorough preparation. Iain is very knowledgeable about his trade and gave advice and options after listening to what I wanted. The room was tidied every night and was immaculate at the end of the job. Iain is friendly, prompt and efficient. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend him. I have already asked him to work on my kitchen.

Iain installed the coving and hung the wallpaper for one of my bedrooms. He did a fantastic job on both. The coving was perfectly cut and positioned, which was not easy as the bedroom is not a standard square shape. The wallpaper was done to perfection, with the pattern aligned neatly all around the room. I'm so pleased with the result and the bedroom is beautiful now!
Iain was professional and very pleasant to deal with. What I liked was the fact that he took the time to talk through the job and make recommendations - it's clear that he really knows his trade and how to get a job done well. In addition, he is a perfectionist and does not leave without having done the best he can. I would not hesitate to recommend Iain to others and will be sure to use his services again.

I removed a faux fireplace in my living room and the wall behind was not in a good condition. Iain took the time to make sure the floors and furniture were protected before stripping the wall back, plastering, papering, and painting it along with plastering and painting the walls in my hallway cupboard. I was surprised how clean and tidy Iain left the place after each day working.

Overall, I was very impressed with Iain’s professionalism. Iain was quick to respond to my enquiry; he provided a competitive quote; he kept me informed throughout; he always arrived on time; and he completed the works to a high standard. Really pleased with the quality of the work. Iain and Marc went above and beyond what was necessary to redecorate the flat (dealing with dodgy DIY jobs from previous owners and taking it in their stride) - and I'm so impressed with the detail and quality of the result. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

Ian did a first class job applying several coats of wood stain to the Elm cladding on my house. He also repainted the exterior walls and car port. It was not an easy job as some elevations of my house are very high and inaccessible. My house was built in 1972 and I must say it is the best it has ever looked. I felt the work done was good value for the money and would have no hesitation in recommending his workmanship.

Iain decorated our hall, landings and stairs which hadn’t been touched for years. He took time to make sure all the surfaces were properly prepped before decorating and did a first class job. Also made sure the space was clean every night before leaving - very professional. Am absolutely delighted with the result. Just waiting for carpet to arrive. Even though job took a couple days longer than originally thought, the cost stayed same as estimate. Highly recommended and have already booked in to get outside windows done

Iain and Mikey did an excellent job. They redecorated our hall and a bedroom, and re-painted our front door. The quality of their work is exceptional. I particularly liked the professional way they approached the job. They communicated clearly, explained what they were doing, called if they were delayed for any reason, gave us options and recommendations when choices needed to be made, and left the flat clean and tidy each afternoon. The work took a bit longer than estimated, but the price didn't go up, and I'd much rather have a quality finish than a rushed job. I recommended IE Decor to my friends, two of whom have already hired Iain and Mikey. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in the future.

Iain plastered and painted my kitchen ceiling. He made an excellent job and I am very happy with it. There were some issues initially with the new plaster reacting to some of the material that was already there. However, Iain spent the time needed putting it right. I'll be asking Iain to come back for future jobs.

Can't stress enough how meticulous Iain is. He and Mikey worked tirelessly to transform our hallway, stairs and landing and we are extremely happy with the outcome. Iain was very clear on the different options available to us, had an eye for how to produce the high quality finish we were looking for and discussed paint choices, etc, at every stage of the project.
