He has been undertaking the alarm maintenance for me since. When we needed further clarification about the proposal on the wired CCTV system and how the wiring would look, he was very patient in answering each question including coming back to explain in person for the benefit of my elderly parents. The installation (wired CCTV system, doorbell camera, and a security light in the garden) was done with great care (in freezing November weather) and exactly as described in the quote. We needed a brand new burglar alarm as our old burglar alarm was broken and hadn’t been used in years. We also wanted CCTV installed for peace of mind. We looked at Trusted Trader and came across Homeland Security & Investigations Ltd, who had 5 star reviews. We contacted Gary via email and he quickly responded. Gary offered to conduct a home security survey for us, free of charge with no obligation. He arrived bang on time and listened carefully to our wishes. He conducted the survey and gave us advice on additional security measures e.g. tidying up bushes and hiding keys, which was really helpful. Gary explained everything fully and promptly produced a full report for us, including quotes for the work we wanted. The quote was so detailed it allowed us to tweak what we wanted. We agreed to the quote and Gary scheduled the installation around our diaries. Again, Gary arrived bang on time with his colleague, Andy. Both of them were highly professional, hard working and knowledgeable – great sense of humour too, which is always appreciated. Even during the installation, they were flexible to make sure the disruption was minimal. They installed a new burglar alarm, sensors, security light and CCTV all at a competitive price and within the agreed timescales. No ongoing monthly fees, just a very reasonable yearly service. Their attention to detail was also impressive, ensuring outside wiring was tidy and inconspicuous. They even meticulously tidied up afterwards! They spent time demonstrating our new equipment, to make sure we were comfortable with it. A couple of weeks later, Gary got in touch to make sure everything was working well for us – it is perfect! Suggestions from his initial survey mean that the system is future-proofed if we need to upgrade it.
The work was carried out with a minimum of disruption to the house, and left so that you'd think no work had actually been done - very tidy indeed.

Recently had a full home security survey carried out by Homeland Security, with advice as to alarm, cctv cameras and other steps re crime prevention. Very thorough and detailed and as a result had a new alarm system and cctv cameras installed. Installation was surprisingly quick and extremely tidy and very reasonable pricing. I contacted this firm to repair an entryphone system on the main door of a tenement block where I am a co-owner of one flat. Their representatives first came for a quick look at the problem without charge, then a visit for a full investigation, then to fix it. On each occasion they turned up at the time arranged, worked efficiently, and kept me fully informed. The appointment to fix the problem fell between Christmas and New Year, and I am particularly grateful to them for turning out at that time. They then supplied me promptly with the documentation I needed to reclaim shares of the expense from the owners of the other flats.

Three months later another problem arose with the door - not connected with the first, or their repair work. Their representative called by and quickly fixed the problem - someone had apparently interfered with the service bell timer - without charge. I recommend the firm without hesitation for any work they are willing to take on.
