We had our tenement roof repaired by HiSolutions. They were excellent from the start, responding to our request for a quote the same day. They arranged a roof inspection later the same week and provided a comprehensive report that included detailed photographs of the work required. Once a date was arranged for the work to go ahead, they arrived exactly when they said they would and completed the repair as planned. A further report was provided with the final invoice. We would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend to others.

The initial estimate was detailed, picked up points we hadn't thought of, and prompt. The team had to come up through my top flat to access the roof; they wore protective footwear, were thoughtful and polite. The work was done on schedule; thorough, with good attention to detail (e.g. exactly right colour for pipes), and careful of the surroundings - they were careful with my newly replanted rockery, for example. The administration was efficient and cheerful, answering questions readily and promptly.

We have used HiSolution for several years now for small jobs on our shared roof. This time, it was a bigger job - replacing an area of flat roof at the back of the property. Not needing scaffolding means that they are good value for money and the service is excellent. They come quickly, do a thorough survey with photos, turn up when they say they will, are polite and respectful (eg always wear overshoes walking through the house), get the job down to a high standard, then send a detailed report with photos of the work done. As the person who has to liaise with 3 other owners to arrange repairs, this all makes my life much easier. Thanks again!

Cannot speak highly enough of the two men that appeared punctually on day of work to be done and worked throughout the day in very wet and cold conditions. They never complained, were respectful of property , tidied up ,and cleared all rubbish following work .

HiSolutions have done two separate roof reapirs for our tenement. All of the staff are extremely pleasant and professional. They provide lots of details of the work to be done and an equally detailed report showing what they have done.

We asked HiSOLUTION to attend to investigate overflowing gutters and number of other issues to the roof and stonework on our traditional Edinburgh tenement. After attending, Artur provided a summary report of the issues (including photographs) and a quote for the repairs, to which repairs to the pointing, roof, gutter and tiles were agreed. The work was carried out in an afternoon a few weeks after the initial visit, and a follow up report containing photos of the repairs was also provided. Furthermore, a month after the work, HiSOLUTION checked in with us to confirm we were still satisfied with the repairs. I wouldn’t hesitate to use HiSOLUTION again, and I highly recommend them, particularly if you are engaging in communal repairs to a traditional tenement. With thanks to Artur, Marta and the rest of the team for an exceptional level of service.

Hi-Solutions replaced the brackets on my downpipes and replaced a length of guttering. They also replaced two roof tiles. I was very happy with the work they carried out and the cost was very reasonable. It makes such a change for a company to respond and complete a job so quickly. Our cast iron downpipe needed replacing - tricky work in a building split into flats in a Conservation Area crescent, with no access except through the building. We got excellent service from HiSolution. They arrived on the dot of the time we expected, did the work and cleaned up beautifully afterwards. No complaints and we didn't need to pay for any scaffolding.

After rainwater entering the house I contacted HiSolution. They promptly came and carried out an overall inspection of the roof and identified the cause of the leak and a couple of other issues. They kindly fixed the broken pointing very quickly which was the cause of the leak. We then arranged for the less pressing issues to be carried out at a later date. Both roofers were polite and professional. I would recommend.

Artur and his team have done various pieces of work for us in Claremont Crescent. Most recently they overhauled our 199 year old roof with antique slate tiles and leaded some side beams which were causing leaks in rooms below.
We highly recommend them for both speed, quality and aftercare on all their roof works. Owning an A listed 199 year old building we feel very glad to have them as our roofing maintenance contractor. They always go above and beyond and their work proves to be good time and time again. Many neighbours now also use them for the same reason. Don’t look elsewhere as you will be disappointed.

Artur and the team recently did some reconstruction work on our chimneys. We couldn't have had a better experience! The communication from the start was excellent and we found he undertook the most detailed assessment and quote from all the companies we contacted. The team who came to do the work were extremely courteous and did a fantastic job on the roof and the clean up. Dream team for what was a nightmarish job. First rate rope access services from start to finish. Several companies declined to even visit and some who did visit the site then declined to quote. The job was on a tenement building at height over a busy road and included fixing a leaking roof (slate/tile work, replacing missing slates/tiles, ridge tile pointing), reinstallation of a vent pipe, cleaning gutters and most challenging of all, removing a large self-set plant from a downpipe (the roots were very long and went down and around 2 elbows under the roof line and into an internal section of downpipe requiring access and internal works inside the top floor flat). The quote and works were clearly illustrated with photos and the invoice broken down into different elements as required by the Title Deeds. Quick to visit. Quick to quote. All the work was done without scaffolding which saved us time and money and was done to an excellent standard. Followed up to check everything was as we expected. Top marks to Artur, Marta and the rest of the HiSolution team.

I am a chartered civil engineer with over 40 years experience both in the construction industry and lecturing to post graduate engineers. Finding good roofers, for my rental properties, has been a problem in the past. That is why I was delighted to come across Hi Solution who undertook quite extensive roof work on my own property. I found them to be completely professional in their approach to the contract from the initial estimate, which was very competitive, to the completion of the work which was of a high standard. Artur and his friendly and courteous team did an excellent job at repairing our ageing chimney stacks, prolonging their lifespan without the need for invasive and much more costly works. From the moment I first met Artur I was impressed with his approach and transparent way of explaining the works needed. The quote was detailed with images and clear costings and it made the job of getting three separate buildings on board with the works much easier as we went through the quotation process with several companies.

Artur Pawlak and his HiSolution "spidermen" team were approached to conduct an annual survey & repair of the slates in our Category-A, 200-year-old, 5-storey, 10-property tenement. They also checked all the above-ground gutters and external downpipes (a couple of which were leaking), plus checked and cleared the accessible gullies at ground level.
They repaired all the damaged slates as necessary, replaced some sections of cracked downpipe, sealed any joints that were in poor condition, and did the necessary with the gullies.
HiSolution were very well organised and clear about all the arrangements, before and during the work: from estimating and quoting, scheduling the work, carrying out the work, and following up with an "after sales" checkup inspection with me, including on the roof (a slightly scary experience for me!).
They also supplied numerous before & after photos of different aspects of the project.
Apart from their open and transparent management of the work, a great benefit of their method of using rope access is that it doesn't require the erection of expensive scaffolding, which saves LOTS of money, without any loss of quality of workmanship.
I would thoroughly recommend them.

We live in a top floor flat and had water coming in through the roof of our tenement after a bad storm in October. We have used HiSolution several times over the years for roof repairs and always find them to be reliable and reasonably priced. Leaking Roof repaired . After the first visit there was still a problem, as the cause of the leak was difficult to diagnose. HiSolution visited promptly afternoon after having being told of the problem and carried out further analysis on one day and work on another day. HiSolution charged nothing more than the original quote and refused to be paid until the repairs to the roof had been tested by three days of heavy rain.

Roof repairs to communal roof. Excellent service. Rope Access repairs are not cheap, but they are much more economic, quick and less disruptive than erecting scaffolding. Very prompt and efficient and tolerant of the delay involved in Group Decision making in a Tenement Block Residents' Association. Photographs provided of the work that needed doing, before and after completion, and advice regarding other remedial work. Ongoing bi/annual maintenance inspections are another benefit. 5 Stars all round.

We had a blockage in the 45 ft drainpipe down the side of our building which caused water to gush down the outside of the pipe resulting in serious damp problems in the stonework. Some broken slates were also replaced.
Artur arrived to view the problem and I found him very easy to deal with and his explanation of what would be done was clear and helpful.
Artur and his team arrived on time on the date agreed to carry out the work and solved the difficult problem of extracting a block of wood lodged part way down the pipe as well as replacing the broken slates.
All this was done whilst taking great care to avoid any mess within our property.
I would highly recommend Hi Solution not only for their high standard of work but also for their excellent value for money as a result of their rope access method.

Hi Solutions carried out emergency repairs to (water ingress to top floor flats) including replacing 40 missing/sliding slates, clearing gutters to both elevations, ensuring downpipe heads blockage free, repointing work, sealing flashings etc. caused by storm damage and heavy winter rainfall. I cannot praise Artur and his diligent team of skilled roofers enough for prioritising our urgent job and fixing even though, like most, roofing contractors in Edinburgh they were inundated with work. What really impressed was their professionalism, value for money, attention to detail, communication, exceptional punctuality, even starting work before 6am, to ensure safety of pedestrians. Hi Solutions go the extra mile with follow up after care to ensure the client is 100% satisfied and provide expert administration. I've organised many communal repairs for our tenement and is a difficult and time consuming task gaining consensus, organising quotes, getting money in etc. So it really is a joy when the chosen contractor, arrives when they say they will, provides transparent and detailed roof reports with photographs before and after. Follows ups having been paid and the promise of warranty on work done. Over the last 10 years Artur has helped us with repairs to roofs in our current (Victorian) and our previous (1950s) house. He is usually very quick to come to assess an issue and produces a clear quote including photographs and details of materials etc. Artur is very straightforward and trustworthy and, unlike some other roofing companies, will tell you what ‘needs to be done now’ versus what ‘would be nice to get done at some point’ (very useful if you have an old/large roof or you are working to a budget!). He is sensible and safety conscious on the job, and he clearly knows his trade. I have recommended Hi Solutions to friends and family.

HiSolution carried out roof tile repairs, repairs to the guttering in addition to painting all of the drainpipes, guttering and wooden eaves. They showed a real commitment in undertaking the work which was reasonably priced and carried out to my complete satisfaction. The communications before and during the work were also very helpful. Nothing to clear up after the work as everything left immaculate. Highly recommended!!!

As part of the preparation for selling my house, I hired the High Solution rope access company to replace many slates that were missing, clean all the gutters on the top and porch and replace a large area of guttering and wood on the porch. I highly recommend Artur and his team at HiSolution. They have done two different jobs for us on our Victorian tenement. The first involved replacing a section of cast iron drainpipe and repairing some connecting pipes. The work was done so efficiently and professionally that my neighbours were pleased to have him return and tackle a bigger job of roof and gutter repair, None of us were familiar with the techniques of a "roper" and it was impressive to watch the men work at a great height without the need for putting up expensive scaffolding. Communication was clear, and the work was done promptly according to agreed on estimates. Prices are very competitive. They leave everything neat and tidy. HiSolution stand by their work and do their utmost to satisfy their customers. I am glad we found HiSolution.

Artur from HiSolution worked on the slate roof of out 1.5 storey cottage, replacing the roof ridge as well as fixing some loose slates and cracked rendering including chimney flashing.
Very happy with the work and the can-do, creative, helpful and very flexible attitude -- especially as Artur took time out of his leisure time in our area in order to deal with our roof! Very friendly guy too. All in all, highly recommended.

Artur checked our roof, replaced the ridge pole, dealt with new chimney flashing. It was all done to a high standard, with a smile and great flexibility. I have no hesitation to recommend him for any roofing projects, particularly ones that require creative approach to access. Our location means scaffolding is prohibitively expensive so rope access was a perfect solution indeed. Also, a very nice guy!
