I'll have no hesitation in either contacting First Fix again to get work done, or in recommending them. My job had to be changed after the initial quote due to circumstances outside of our control (a third party was responsible). This increased the overall cost, but I have no complaints. Gary wasn't phased by the change and very quickly calmed my fears about my ceiling and the scale of the work required to get a complete ceiling again. The work was done on time and to a very high quality. The clean-up afterwards was very impressive too. It's so hard to find good tradesmen these days. I'm so glad I used this site and chose First Fix.

First Fix property care - I found that it was easy to make contact with Gary. He responded promptly and arranged a visit to assess the scope of work. When he assessed the job he made sensible suggestions for repair and replacements. After assessing the work he was also kind enough to suggest and arrange some temporary support for the structure that was due to be replaced.
Main repair work went smoothly with completion ahead of time. Final invoice was in accordance with both the verbal and written estimates. Very satisfactory !

After extensive research to find someone reliable to deal with a water damage claim I found Firstfix on the trustatrader website. Gary and team were fantastic. This was a simple and small job - the replacing of a broken parking stanchion at our parking bay, putting in a concrete base, making good the surface tarring and the installation of a new, lockable stanchion - which similar traders had turned down as being 'too small a job' for them. However, from start to finish, Gary was nothing other than helpful and reliable. An initial 'site visit', a detailed discussion about our requirements, a fair estimate, a decision about when the work would be done, turning up on time, doing exactly what was promised, and leaving a neat, tidy and professional finish ... we couldn't have asked for anything better. Added to that, there was good communication throughout by email and phone, a very pleasant attitude indeed and what I considered a very reasonable price for a job well done. It was a pleasure doing business with Gary, and I would have no hesitation in using First Fix again and recommending them to others. Thank you.

I have recently had a bathroom fitted by First Fix Property Care and was impressed by the care taken with every aspect of the job from start to finish, a marked contrast to the last time we had the room done. Gary was very helpful with suggestions for choice of fittings and tiles which helped reduce the cost a bit too. Highly recommended.

Gary fixed a couple of oak shelves in my kitchen. He used the ornate brackets that I had asked for (I had seen them in Homebase) and made sure that the oak shelves matched my kitchen counter tops. The finished result is exactly as I'd imagined it.

Gary completely transformed my bathroom...I'm very happy with it and go in there simply to stand and enjoy the beauty! He was very patient and respectful and unlike other tradesmen I've used in the past, he listened when I pointed things out and made no fuss about addressing them. The job took approx. 5days to complete but he tidied up neatly at the end of each day which meant we could continue to use the bathroom as the work progressed. For the first time after a string of other tradesmen, I can say I'll definitely be calling on Gary's services again in the future...and this is coming from someone who's not easily pleased!

Gary has recently completed a very fiddly leak investigation and repair in a bathroom for me. Many other traders declined to do this work but Gary did a brilliant job in finding the problem, fixing it and returning the bathroom back to its previous state. He kept me informed throughout the whole process. Would definitely use again and would recommend.

I used First Fix to install a new ceiling and I was very happy with the level of professionalism and workmanship that I received.
When I first called, Gary came round within an hour and took all the details and supplied a quote within 48 hours. The job began on 24 Aug 2015 as agreed and took a little longer than we anticipated (because of unseen circumstances) but Gary explained everything and at no time did I feel I was being lumbered or fobbed off.
His team were excellent and pretty unobtrusive (which is saying a lot in a one bed Edinburgh tenement) and a pleasure to have in the house. They were clean and tidied up afterwards.
My only negative point would be that I felt communication before the job started could have been a bit better: once I accepted the quote, I didn't hear from Gary for a while and I had to contact him to confirm a start date which felt like I had been forgotten and was doing the chasing.
That said, however, overall, I was impressed with the team, the job, and the price and would use them again.
