My second time using Elphinstone Group to work at my property, this time for quite a big project to construct a large detached timber framed two car garage/workshop.

Once again, I'm blown away with quality of work, the attention to detail, and the outstanding customer service from Neil and the team. These guys are truly amazing, they make it all look so easy, they turn up on time, work non stop all day and get the job done.

So greatful to Neil for coming to the rescue when I was badly let down by another contractor. Neil and his painter Ben completely redecorated three bedrooms, my hall, stairs and upper landing, all done to the very highest standard in just one week. The finish is amazing, it's a total transformation and I'm absolutely delighted with it, Ben really is a first class painter who takes great pride in his work, it was a real pleasure to have these guys work on my house and I look forward to seeing them here again soon to do some more work for me. Neil was able to provide a fast, reliable and highly efficient service. We had a problem with a very damp asphalt floor in our kitchen, discovered when a new floor was due to be fitted. The job of removing the asphalt floor was over and above what the floor fitters could do. Elphinstone Joinery were able to provide what was required to remove the asphalt, instal a barrier against future dampness and lay a new concrete floor. I would readily recommend the Company and will use them in the future.

We recently engaged Neil to refit our entire kitchen and also had him return to fit out a small toilet / utility room. What a pleasure it was to work with Neil and his colleagues on both jobs. From the outset Neil was happy to listen to our requirements and throughout the work always remembered what we wanted and made very constructive suggestions on how best to complete the work. Both Neil and all his sub contractors were always punctual, polite and considerate throughout the work. They worked hard and always turned up when they said they would. The quality of finish on all the work (joinery, electrical, plumbing and plastering) is superb and Neil will be our first call for any future work. I should add that when we were choosing between kitchens Neil put us in touch with a designer he works closely with at Howdens and she was also fantastic, her design input and suggestions have given us a fantastic kitchen. They clearly work very well as a team, certainly recommend both.
I should clarify that I have been a bit slow to leave my review so this relates to work that was undertaken a few months ago before the current restrictions

Neil recently put in a kitchen for us. From our initial contact he was generous with his advice and ideas. All his team turned up when he said they would. They were respectful of our property and we are delighted with the result of their labours. Neil and Simon take great pride in their work, are perfectionists and only leave when you're happy. I have no hesitation in recommending Neil and we'll certainly look forward to working with him again on future projects.

Second time using Neil, the first was a large renovation project of an entire property, this time just a small piece of joinery. Neil was as helpful as ever and the end result exactly as specified, delivered and assembled promptly.

We had a small job done by Neil - cutting our worktop to make space for a fridge freezer and moving cabinets around the wall. He was very reasonably priced for a small job and was very quick on the day - including tidying up and leaving the kitchen in a great condition. Helped us with some ideas too when he came for a quote - which worked out great. Would definitely use him again for jobs.

Neil is an artisan: As well as being an excellent joiner-cum-carpenter, Neil is also an exceptional (and practical) designer.

Neil recently completed a full property renovation (2 bedroom flat) for us in an entirely satisfactory way.

From start to finish, Neil was professional while friendly. He had useful inputs and ideas from the initial design stage and took this forward, taking charge of organising all the required trades to execute the project. We left Neil with the keys while on holiday for the first couple of weeks and were very pleasantly surprised to find great progress from leaving Neil to it on our return. This trust and resulting experience continued throughout the duration of the project.

Neil cares and takes pride in the job. He communicates well, works hard to get stuff done, takes ownership of problems, provides solutions, treats work like it was his own property and delivers results to a very high standard. We needed very old window sills and frames replaced, and very awkward arched windows replaced as well. Neil and his Dad were very polite, friendly and skilled. They weren’t afraid to take on a difficult big job and stuck with it, even with a few annoying major hitches along the way.

Neil did a fantastic job completely refurbishing our built in cupboard to a very high standard. He also put a wall for us to make a third bedroom (again this was done to a very high standard. With previous joiners we have been left waiting weeks for them to get back to us and have been let down in the past, this is certainly NOT the case with Neil! Neil did a fantastic job installing our new kitchen - he had to battle wonky old walls and ended up having to take the ceiling down, but he kept smiling even when covered head to toe in black soot! He has a really good work ethic, working late most nights to get the job done and was always striving to get the highest standard of finish. Neil was always very open and honest in keeping us updated on progress and good in explaining what was going on. Would definitely recommend him and will hopefully be working with him again.

We were under pressure to have our job done due to being let down by numerous joiners. Neil and Rob arrived quickly to price the job and gave us great advice and ideas we hadn"t thought of. We received a very reasonable quote. Rob and Neil arrived each day when they said they would and worked more than full days to complete the job. Elphinstone Joinery recently fitted a new rear door to our garage, made and fitted an extremely substantial outside back door to our utility room and replaced the door from our kitchen thru to the utility room. All this work was done for a very reasonable price, their quality of workmanship was first class and we would not hestitate to recommend them highly.

I cannot speak highly enough of Neil. He treats your home as if it was his own. Attention to detail as a perfectionist is utmost in his work. Neil and Cammie have supplied and fitted oak doors throughout our 4 bed detached home. Including beautiful French doors. He is in the process of fitting oak skirting boards. What a find Neil is! A true professional and with Cammie by his side they make a great couple of lads. Very hard to find a good carpenter but we found him. Elphinestone Joinery is extremely hardworking and reliable to get the job completed on time. On several occasions weekend work was undertaken to ensure work was completed. The standard of the work was very high and nothing was too much trouble to ensure the work was completed to a very high standard.

There are very few Joinery companies (if any) that would put in the amount of effort that Elphinestone Joinery has to source the right materials and to keep the job within budget.
