The one-off clean was organised very efficiently and promptly. The cleaner arrived on time and we were very pleased withher work. She was also a very pleasant and easy person to have around. Thank you Amy!

A wonderful service from start to finish - Krisztina in the operations team was able to fit me in for a sparkle clean at very short notice and Maria did a fantastic job cleaning my flat - she did a huge amount of work in the time she was here. Deposit and payment processes were all simple to follow too and the T&Cs are clearly defined. Will absolutely be booking with them again.

Moved house in November 2022. As we are in our 70s and have health problems we needed a deep clean of flat before we moved in as we are not unable to do this work ourselves. Noticed good Trusted Trader (TT) reviews so felt positive about this company.

When we moved and were able to inspect the work done we found the inside of the large wardrobe was not cleaned properly, floors in kitchen, living room and bathrooms were not cleaned properly. The company were unable to clean the ovens and the kitchen extractor was missed altogether. While some form of cleaner was used for the windows it had not been properly applied and when the sun shined that was obvious.
We were told that the top of the kitchen units were very dirty. We were not told that part of this task had not been completed.

We were charged £525 incl VAT for the service. Unfortunately we paid before we discovered the problems. We always like to support small companies by paying them timeously.

We raised the problems with the company. They denied that they had not carried out the service as asked, blamed any problems on removers and ourselves and refused to accept photos we had sent. They refused to negotiate a refund.

This ended up in a dispute. Don’t expect any fairness from this formal TT process.

In our opinion the Complaints team are there to support the company who have paid to join the scheme. It was not explained to us that if we accepted any refund then the formal complaint was dropped.

We were offered £40 when we asked for £252. We as good negotiators were prepared to negotiate on that amount and would have been happy to accept £200.
We accepted the £40 as we thought there was no other option but we’re expecting that our Complaint would progress meantime. The mediator seemed to think she was doing us a favour by getting £40 from the owner of the company as they had not cleaned the extractor! Nothing was offered for their inability to clean the ovens despite charging £60. I am aware that they were planning to spray a disinfectant on the cleaned areas. I have noticed that this seems to have been done around the ovens but has also been sprayed on the stainless steel parts. We are hoping that the Oven Cleaner who we have now engaged to properly clean the ovens will be able to deal clean the marks off the stainless steel.

In a number of areas this company did not abide by the Code of Practice for the TT scheme. An example is when they charged a 50% deposit when they should not have charged more than 20%.

We found that it was very difficult to access any public review when you did not have a positive experience. This would account for all these positive reviews.
In our experience the TT scheme is misleading and not in the consumers interests. Ironic as it is supposed to be designed to combat rogue traders.

I am afraid we have lost all faith in the City of Edinburgh TT scheme.

This is the worst review we have ever given any company we used and the worst consumer experience we have ever had.

Lessons learned- Don’t pay before you have checked if the work has been done properly or you will never get your money back. Don’t rely on positive reviews in this scheme.

I was desperately in need of my radiators steam cleaned as I was getting a new boiler next day. I had just learned steam cleaning radiators should be done before they start working again.
They were so dirty and probably never been cleaned in years since I moved into my flat.
The team was also able to fit us in to do a "Sparkle" deep cleaning on the same day.
They are so professional and efficient! I can't say enough of how quickly they accommodated my need for immediate attention due to the unexpected time sensitive boiler replacement.

This was my first time to use this amazing company and I will most certainly will continue to do regular cleanings...the team that came were not only very professional but so nice and understanding.
They really exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this company.

The team did a deep clean of my 2 bedroom flat, with 2 en suites, in Merchiston. They did a very nice job, were punctual and very pleasant. Easy to contact the company. Would definitely recommend them.

Arranged to have the oven cleaned in my new property before moving in. Brilliant communication with Clean House Edinburgh over the phone and by email. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the booking needed to be rescheduled at short notice but Clean House were greatly accommodating and Krisztina did a brilliant job cleaning the oven on the day. Friendly and professional service and would highly recommend them.

Arranged a deep clean of carpets, soft furnishings, mattresses and curtains following a moth infestation.
Communication all done very efficiently and easily by email and deep clean arranged for their first available appointment two weeks later.
The team arrived promptly and worked throughout the day with barely a break. They were a pleasure to have and the end result was excellent.

I arranged a deep clean for my Mother's West End flat post lockdown and was impressed by how efficiently and effectively it was organised. The cleaners worked hard, maintained social distancing and were very diligent. I thoroughly recommend Veronika and her team and will definitely be using them again in the future.

Michael spent nearly 5 hours cleaning a one bed flat before I moved in - it looked 100% better afterwards. He's a hard worker and pleasant to deal with. Would highly recommend.

I booked in a full deep clean of my flat (fairly large: living room, kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom, plus multiple small storage rooms, as well as a full oven clean). I was quoted at approximately £440; ended up being only £414. I put in for a quotation on the Monday (evening), heard back on Tuesday and had a Wednesday job booked up - good turn around on that.

We had a hiccup at the beginning; the team that was meant to come had been put on a different job earlier and it had run on - it was ironed out, however, very well and these things can certainly happen.

Once the team arrived to do the job, they were amazing. The supervisor was confident that the various parts of the job could be done, and confident that they'd be done *well* - and he was very much correct! It took a good few hours (perfectly reasonable!) but the results were brilliant, in particular the oven and fridge/freezer (which had been left in an awful state) were left looking brand new.

I would heartily recommend this company, as their service is brilliant and their people are fantastically hard workers. They're not necessarily the cheapest cleaners around, but as far as I'm concerned they're worth every penny spent and they're not any more expensive than they need to be.

Deep clean of whole flat and cleaning of one carpet. The work was done efficiently and thoroughly by three people for 16 hours. They had obviously been well trained to do this work and it was generally undertaken well. They came with all cleaning equipment. The manager gave a final costing for the job on arrival and came to inspect the work half way through the cleaning to check out the work. All cleaners were pleasant and competent, with one being less experienced that the others and one not having the same eye for details as the others two. One small detail: in a couple of the rooms, the furniture was not put back as it was found and it was heavy furniture which had been displaced quite a lot. In another room, a lot of items had been piled up and not put back. At the end, the manager came to inspect the work and identified some work that had been omitted and either did it or instructed it to be done. Overall, I would re-employ this trader and would know what to ask them to do next as I am sure they would do it, if asked.

The cleaners arrived on time and did an excellent job. They were efficient and pleasant. My dealings with the company generally have been very easy with good communication.

My upper colony flat needed a deep clean. The team of people who came to clean was punctual and came well equipped with cleaning materials and equipment. They worked incredibly hard and efficiently and so thoroughly. Every corner and surface was covered, on top of places that had been unreachable and underneath furniture that had been difficult to move. Taps shone!
They all were so pleasant and professional.

Jozef, the owner is very attentive to any issues and promptly replies to any communication. He even went above and beyond to replace a broken hoover which he had no obligation to do but was highly appreciated.

The quality of the cleaning has been very good - our expectations have been not only matched, but exceeded and our facility is always kept very clean. I don't need to check the quality of the work (as I've had to do with other cleaning companies in the past) any more as I trust it will always be completed to a high standard.

I've been using bi-monthly cleaning services for 4 months now and am so happy. My cleaners have been friendly and professional. I like that on the first visit they bring all the supplies and rags so there is no cross contamination with the other clients.

If there are any issues with my cleaning services I know I can let them know and it will be resolved. The price is fair for the work and the company is well managed. Our cleaner is so sweet she even wrote me a Christmas card. It's a lovely company.

I have been using this company for the past 6 months. Initially they did a deep clean of my whole house and now I have one of their staff to clean once a fortnight. They are a pleasure to have in the house and I have recommended the company to friends and relatives.

This was the first time I made use of Cleanhouse services. They were businesslike, punctual, polite and the result of the work was very satisfying.

Clean House Edinburgh is reliable trustworthy cleaning company. Jozef and his team have been helpful, polite and easy to communicate with.

My house is cleaned for two hours every two weeks for which I pay £67. The service is excellent. I have already recommended it to a family member.

Made an appointment with Jozef on the Tuesday and we reviewed the work required to be done, agreed a price and managed to have the work carried out on the Thursday of same week. Staff working in different rooms simultaneously and a thorough cleaning job was done. Very pleased with the standard of work done and the freshness of the apartment when you open the door is quite apparent.
Would definely recommend the company to anyone.
