Thoroughly recommend Kris, he Initially repaired the Georgian sash windows, however I was so impressed by his professional approach, skills and demeanour I had Kris fit a new bespoke kitchen and flooring within an awkwardly shaped space. Not only was he proactive but reliable a rare quality in today's society.
Can't recommend him enough!

We had purchased a new front door and required work to fit it in an old stairwell. Uncertain of if it would fit, with a new frame also purchased beforehand, Kris from Capital Joinery Services came and advised us of what work would be done, and how to fit the new frame into the existing entrance in the best way. Excellent work and craft, the door and frame were fitted in one day, and all to the quoted price.

We had joinery work done on a window where some of the wood had rotted and we had some windows replaced with double glazed units. This was the first time that we had used Capital Joinery Services and the service and quality of work was excellent from start to finish.

Kris and his colleague restored and repainted 3 sash and case windows at our flat.
The work was completed efficiently, as scheduled and on budget. The windows were restored to a high standard with a minimum of mess. There was good communication throughout and he provided a video demonstration of how there are opened for cleaning. He has offered to review the windows in one year’s time, at no extra cost. I would be happy to use his services again.

Capital Joinery Services did an excellent job for the Edinburgh Council with the installation of a historic plaque on a wall next to the Scotland Street Tunnel. They were very efficient and the new plaque looks fantastic. Besides, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We've had a brilliant experience with Kris and Capital Joinery, easy and professional to interact with, extremely high standard of work, excellent pricing and very reliable - highly recommend! They've worked with us on refurbishing large external doors in our listed building, adding bannisters and fire doors and some other smaller jobs - and they're also great at being respectful and thoughtful when completing work while customers are in the building.

Capital Joinery fitted the most marvellous set of nine alcove shelves, from floor to ceiling, in our tenement kitchen alcove (the former coal store), and also put in wooden facings around the rough doorway. Kris designed everything with great attention to detail, explained what our options were, and he and his colleague fitted and finished everything to perfection. The shelves have been heavily in use for three months now and there has not been any problem.

Replacement of outside wooden banister and railings at front-door steps. Contacted Capital Joinery, by email, for advice and an estimate. Kris replied within 24 hrs. After initial assessment of scope of work he quoted a reasonable price for the job and on acceptance he arranged a visit to take precise measurements. The work progressed smoothly and as agreed. Initially, I'd asked for a replacement which was similar to the original and Kris accomplished that - though he made some design improvements on the original layout which will make care and maintenance much easier in future. Very satisfactory.

Kris fixed up our old shed which had some rotten timbers needing replacing. He also replaced the lid on our log bin.
