Anglo Scottish Pest Control

Jack was conducting some mice pest control in my stair of the tenement where I live, I live on the ground floor. He came to check my flat for possible signs of mice. I have only seen evidence of a mouse on one occasion and evidence of droppings in one of the bedrooms. No further evidence was found but the tenement householders have had several sightings in different flats and two have killed a mouse each while one with one flat was unable to control the problem.
Jack very thoroughly inspected the house, gave me advice on how to look for evidence and protect myself. He was very informative and a pleasant man. As he considered the flat to be free from mice, no intervention was necessary apart from one precautionary deterent in a hole found in a cupboard.

Used to eradicate mice, these guys are very responsive, turn up when they say they will and fix the problem. That's all you need, no fuss.

I contacted Gavin in Dec over squirrels in my roof, and he was so calm and helpful with his advice. I then got back to him on the 3rd Jan, in a complete panic as a new problem had occurred. Gavin managed to come see me on the day and calm me down as well as provide next steps and contacts to get my flat sorted. Could not recommend more!

I contacted Anglo Scottish when I spotted a wasps nest in one of our dormer windows. They asked me to send a couple of photos to show where it was and any potential issues with access. My tenant advised that she had found bed bugs in the property and having called around a couple of pest controllers I found Gavin to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was keen to ensure accurate quotation by carrying out a site survey and provided a cost that was competitive and seemed to be good value for the work that would have been requires. However upon investigating the issue he confirmed that the bugs were not bed bugs and were infact golden spider beetles. His advice and honesty was very much appreciated as both the tenant and I were convinced that they were bed bugs after consulting Google! He could have treated the issue and taken payment no question and we would have been non the wiser. Good to know that his company are honest. If I ever have any future pest control issues I know who I'll call first!

Removal of a large wasps nest over the front door. We had the usual great service from Gavin. He was phoned late on a Friday afternoon and the wasps nest was removed the very next day.

Gavin is always very good at explaining the options and prices are very reasonable.

We had a mouse problem. I had laid some traps a week or two before , and had caught 7 mice. Fearing an infestation, I called Anglo-Scottish pest control. Gavin came out promptly. He inspected the situation thoroughly and said he was convinced I had cleared up the problem. Rather than charge me a call-out fee or lay his own traps he said to get back to him if I saw any further evidence of mice and he would come out to take care of the problem. He also briefed me on what to look out for.

There is no further evidence of the pests. We are now mouse-free! Gavin's honesty and desire to do the right thing by the customer is admirable, as is his thorough knowledge of how to eliminate the pests. I have no hesitation in giving him 5 stars and the highest possible recommendation.

We contacted Gavin when a bee swarm entered our roof space. Gavin was extremely helpful on the phone and via Whatapp: in looking at photos/videos and advising us on our options. Gavin then came out to look at the property, and he was professional and helpful. We've now decided to wait and see whether the bees are still there in the Spring, so we didn't actually engage Gavin's services (yet!). Nonetheless, I'm happy to recommend him.

I had a problem with mice. Favin responded quickly and efficiently. This problem was new to me and I was very upset about it. Gavin was kind patient and helpful. I found a dead rat at my kitchen door. Realised it had been poisoned by a neighbour who feeds feral pigeons . The next week, in the garden I found several large holes going under my decking. PANIC!!!
I phoned Anglo Scottish and within 2 hours Gavin arrived, confirmed they were indeed rat runs. He baited the holes, reassured me, and returned 5 days later to check his work.

We've had an infestation of mice. Jack arrived promptly. He was thorough and clearly knowledgeable about this subject. He analysed then treated the problem, but also made the time to answer my questions about the habits of vermin and the science behind the treatment. I wouldn't hesitate to use the service of this family run business again (I just hope I don't have to!) They are highly recommended.

This company is family run and have shown a high level of professionalism. They explained the process of work and agreed a schedule. They are clear and transparent on charges and have no hidden charges or add on. They Arrive as agreed and complete the schedule over 2 weeks as agreed. Our mouse problem ......after trying a couple of useless firms, we tried Anglo Scottish Pest Control. They are a joy to deal with, punctual, efficient, polite, reasonably priced - and above all, effective. We will definitely use them again and we have recommended them to several people.

I am absolutely terrified of mice/rats. I found Anglo Scottish Pest control and these guys are truly exceptional. I had earlier contacted another Edinburgh based pest control company on emergency call out. I was charged heavily, but their agent only placed glue boards and poison around the house. When I got back from holidays, I obviously did not have the courage to get rid of the mice that were stuck to the glue board and the follow up date given was longer than I had expected. So I had to immediately find someone to get rid of the mice stuck to glue board in my house. I found Anglo Scottish Pest Control.

I phoned Gavin during holiday period on 2nd Jan and he got back to me within minutes. He was at my home in less than 1 hour from time of call. He inspected the entire property thoroughly, piping, inside the kitchen, balcony, outside, bathroom etc. and got rid of the mice very promptly. We contacted Gavin at Anglo Scottish Pest Control for advice on a suspected bedbug infestation. He gave us some good tips on where to check and what to do and even helped to identify some bugs from photos we took. Luckily it was a false alarm but would definitely recommend getting in touch with ASPA if you spot any suspicious creepy crawlies.

Phoned Anglo Scottish Pest Control regarding a wasps nest and Jack appeared within the hour, as promised. He dealt with the nest in a professional manner and answered all my questions about wasp behaviour and any preventative measures I could take in the future. A very friendly and helpful service at a very reasonable price.

I phoned Anglo Scottish Pest Control to make an appointment to deal with what I thought was a wasps nest in my roof. However, a couple of quick questions from the person I was speaking to established it was more likely to be a bees nest and there was no risk. I took another quick look and I was able to verify it was a bumblebees nest.

Wow how refreshing to get an honest tradesman. I called up to say I thought we had an infestation. Gavin asked me to send a picture. Got back to me in a few minutes to tell me what they were and how to deal with them and that he didn't think they would require to come just now. I have been used to tradesman who would have charged £80 for just turning up and telling me the same, when I asked how much I owed he said it's OK we are happy to help and give advice. I was unsure of if I had a bed bug problem as I found small insects in my flat. I called Anglo Scottish Pest Control and they quickly called me back even though it was the weekend. I was able to text in the pictures of the insects on Saturday night and I got a near instant response reassuring me that they were not bed bugs and were in fact harmless insects (however I may have a damp problem instead!). They had very good knowledge over a range of insects and quickly put my mind at ease without any call out required. If I have an issue again they will be the first I call.
