Diagnostic and repair. Having been let down by another company. I telephoned A W Ramage Electricians to see if they could help. Came to my house quickly, even though busy, found the problem and repaired within a few hours and at a reasonable cost. Good customer service. Would highly recommend.

Sandy upgraded the consumer unit (old fuse box), checked and repaired electrical and light fittings and fitted new smoke detectors/heat/carbon monoxide alarms.

Sandy replied promptly to our message (via Trusted Trader). He visited our property and provided a quote for the work required. We were very happy with his quote which was very reasonable indeed given the work required.

The job was completed in a day (Sandy worked all day) and there was no mess to clear up afterwards.

Superb service from Alex. I needed to have a faulty wall socket repaired. Alex came out on the same day that I had called him to carry out the repairs. Excellent price and excellent workmanship. I would definitely recommend.

Alex did a great job fitting multi-linked alarms in my house and renewing kitchen and main room ceiling lights. Quick to respond to initial call for quote and then it was a matter of days before installation.

Both Alex and his colleague were tidy, courteous and efficient, and resolved an unforeseen problem quickly and with the minimum of fuss.

The work was done quickly and efficiently and on time with the installation of kitchen unit lights and immersion heater switch/control - and bathroom heater installation. Also complete design, installation and commissioning of fire detection and smoke alarm system with statutory BS certificate. A pleasure and reassurring to have them work in our home. I contacted Sandy to request that our wired Ring Doorbell be fitted. Communication was excellent throughout and Sandy did a great job, keeping things neat and tidy, and ensuring the product was working as expected prior to leaving. I texted Sandy this morning re a problem with a shower not working. He arrived at 4.30 and sorted an unsafe circuit board that would have caused a fire had he not intervened, then charged me nothing because the unit, installed in 2020, was faulty. He said he’d claim from the makers of the unit. I am not surprised by this quality of service as he and his son have previously done work for me that was of high quality and completed in good time. In addition, watching him and his son working together, showing respect and consideration for each other was a pleasure. I have no hesitation in recommending his firm for work in any household.

Replaced our old (and defunct) fluorescent stair lighting with new LED lights on motion/light sensors.
Efficient and tidy work with good quality components used throughout.
Also managed to get the job squeezed in before the clocks changed.

Replacing a wall mounted fan heater that had been in place for over 20 years!

Installation of outside lighting. Sandy and his son undertook the work efficiently and in good time. They were friendly and helpful and both the product and the installation were of high quality. I was very satisfied. I also had a separate electrical query later in the year on which Sandy offered advice and support despite the call being early on a Sunday morning.

We had new fire alarm system installed to comply with new regulations. An update of lights in the kitchen were also installed.
