Capital Glazing Limited

Had contacted Capitol Glazing re a quote for some repairs after moving into my new flat and they were the only one out of three willing to oblige. The other two immediately stated my windows sounded like they would need replaced based on my description so weren’t even willing to come out. Due to COVID, Capitol stated they would come out once we moved into a lower tier which was appropriate.

One of my windows fell out in the meantime but I managed to get it back in, however I was worried how safe they were owing to living in a top floor flat. I re-contacted Capitol to discuss and they gave me an appointment within a number of days.

The two guys that came out were brilliant. They made the windows safe and spent 2.5 hours carrying out repairs to make them functional. I felt the amount they charged me was very reasonable based on the initial quote to repair one window.

While I will need to replace my windows, Capitol removed the urgency. It’s very likely I’ll be going back to Capitol for this also. I’ve already asked them for a quote.

The Capital Glazing team fitted 4 sash and case windows for us in North Berwick. Right from our initial dealings through to completion they have been outstanding. Dougie stayed in regular touch to keeps us informed of timescales, and when it came to the fitting, they came early and finished late to get the job done.

I must also comment on the clean up service. Having left them to themselves for the day I arrived the following morning to clean up and get an idea of any paintwork that needed touched up following the installation. My house was cleaner than I had left it in, and there was absolutely no damage.

I could not be happier with the quality, value for money or finish of Capital Glazings work. An absolutely first-class service whom I could not recommend highly enough.

Had a small glass pane in an old door that was accidentally broken by a frustrated young person in a fit of lockdown anger.

Capital were very quick, clear and reasonable in their response. Came out next day, explained the likelihood of not sourcing a like-for-like replacement, but found a similar glass replacement that does the job.

Quote was quick and seemed like great value. Fix was done early the next day, quickly and efficiently with absolutely no fuss.

All round, a great service and extremely good value. Highly recommended.

The Capital Glazing team replaced a misted double glazing unit for us in our lounge. I was really impressed by their customer service straight from the initial contact I had with them via email where I got an instant response to along with a budget estimate for the work. The window was measured up shortly after and then the new unit took a week to get ordered which is exactly what they quoted. On the morning of its arrival in their warehouse I was called on my mobile to arrange a suitable time for fitting. Fitting was quick, clean and painless and was finished off to a high standard. The fitting team were also very courteous to my wife who was in the house at the time. Overall a very satisfied customer and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

I Capital Glazing to come and give me a quote, and when they came they fixed my windows by adjusting how the windows were hanging in the frame. The drafty gaps were gone within an hour of the guy arriving. Nice not to be told I need them replacing when they didn't need it.
