Would definitely use again and recommend to others. Came out same day as it was a problem with one of my heaters. This was very much appreciated as I have a lot of medical problems and classed as a vulnerable person. Very good at what he’s does and a genuinely nice guy.

Upgrade consumer unit to dual RCD with MCB's BS7671:2018 compliant.
Allow additional spare MCB's and SPD. Upgrade mains connection to meter
and main earth conductor. Upgrade/check main earth bonding.

Supply and install (to provide power via generator in the event of a power cut):
Cabinet for domestic generator
Fixed wiring connection from generator set to mains cupboard.
Manual changeover switch and switchgear for selected circuit
Connect to g/fl small power circuit

Sandy is probably the best person we have had work on our house. He is extremely friendly and helpful to deal with. His work is of the highest standard and cannot be faulted in any way. He genuinely cares about providing the customer with the best possible quality of work, and does it at the time promised. What more could a customer hope for. I am delighted to say that his son is following in his footsteps, and is also a pleasure to meet. Should we require any electrical work in future we shall not hesitate to ask Sandy to do it.

Four small domestic jobs.

This was the third time we have used this electrician. Once again Mr Ramage and his son were very courteous and very professional. They worked quickly and efficiently but were also very patient in explaining everything to us. We were very pleased with their work and will happily contact them again when we need more electrical work done. We would also happily recommend them.

Work was completed as arranged and at the price quoted. Time was taken to answer all questions and ensuring I was happy with the job. Will gladly contact for future electrical work.

Sandy did an excellent job installing our new fuse box. Efficient inspection ahead of time, and gave us an estimation of how long it would take (he was bang on!). He was very easy to deal with and we feel confident the job has been done to a high standard. He also left the space nice and tidy which was a plus! Will definitely use Sandy again.

I had a problem with a trip switch which wouldn't stay on, leaving us with no downstairs ceiling lights. Sandy came round twice, the switch was fixed on his second visit. He was polite and got the job done quickly - highly recommended.

Sandy replaced an outside security light that was connected to the mains with a newer floodlight. He was quick to respond to my original enquiry and arrived to the job at the time agreed. Work was carried out to a professional standard and the new light looks and works great!

Sandy couldn't be more obliging. Both himself and his son are efficient, tidy and skilled, and their prices are very reasonable. Nothing is too much for them, and they will go the extra mile to make sure the customer is getting exactly what they are wanting. They have been a pleasure to have working in my kitchen, and felt more like friends than tradesmen. I would not hesitate to use their services again, and highly recommend them to anyone needing any electrical work done - I have used them now for three jobs, and in all cases I was completely happy with everything they did.

Sandy and Keir installed additional sockets and an outdoor security light - tricky work as it is an old property with very thick stone walls. Meticulous, careful work by people who take their craft and their reputation seriously. Great attitude, prompt and tidy.

Got back to us really fast and came out to the house quickly. Carried out the work well and advised us on a few other queries. Very friendly and professional.

I contacted Sandy to put in a power supply to the shed at the back of the house. He replied promptly and when he came to see what was involved he suggested that it would be very easy to install a light into the shed at the same time.

Sandy booked the job in to suit my timing 2 weeks later, turned up promptly and couldn’t have been more helpful. I will certainly be contacting him again. 5 star service!

Mr.Ramage had previously completed work for me, so had no hesitation in phoning him when Centre light fitting came down. Arrived within a day, replaced faulty fitting, fast and efficient, very reasonable price, very pleasant and polite. Would definitely recommend.

New electrical board with trip switches, installation of a bathroom fan & ceiling light fitting.
Mr Ramage & his son arrived on time to start the work. Both were very courteous & worked in a highly professional manner. A slight hiccup tracing a rogue electrical port didn't deter them, they worked doggedly to ensure that all of the wiring was checked thoroughly & in a safe condition. The care they took over each job was second to none. Very refreshing to find tradesmen who take such pride in their work & put the customer first. I will certainly use this company again for all electrical issues & highly recommend their work. The price was also very reasonable for the work done therefore I cannot give a better commendation that 5 stars all round. Thanks guys.

I contacted Mr Ramage with a view to fitting two outdoor lights to replace old ones no longer working.
I was quoted a price and was lucky enough to be able to have the job done the next day.
There was a considerable amount of work involved to replacing one of the old fittings which was unforeseen, but both Mr Ramage and his son did a great job, and in the pouring rain.
I would recommend AW Ramage & son for any electrical work required, and would use them again in future without hesitation.

I hired Mr. Ramage to install a home charger for my electric car which he did competently exactly as asked. He was the only electrician that bothered to come to see the premises where I wanted it installed, he also offered the best quote.

Sandy and son has done a series of jobs over the past year including a new fusebox, replacing ceiling/wall lights, new sockets and power to outside shed.
