We've used Sandy for three jobs and he will be our first call when we next need electrical work in our home. He has rewired two rooms for us, installing and moving mains sockets and switches. He has moved and installed ceiling light fixtures in one of our rooms.

Sandy is always professional and polite. He is on-time for the appointments we make with him. He is upfront about the scope and costs of work he has done for us. He has clearly communicated the (regulatory) standards we are required to meet, using language we can understand. When we asked him to perform some work that was more difficult than we realised, he was happy to present and discuss options with us - it was easy to negotiate with him the level of cost and disruption that we were happy with.

As far as we can tell, his work is of a high standard. We have been happy with the results and have had no subsequent problems with what he's installed. Each time, he has left our home as tidy as he found it.

Sandy fixed some dodgy wiring (put in by a different electrician), replaced a burned socket, and gave electrical advice on a central heating issue. He was friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. Will definitely recommend.

I had a problem with an external light that didn't work very well and a storage heater that was overheating. Sandy replaced the external light with something more modern and brighter and replaced the thermostat in the storage heater.

In addition he checked my other storage heater and shortened a radiator cable and pinned it neatly along a skirting board .

He was friendly, helpful, kept appointments and kept me informed at each stage of the repair process.

Sandy kept all appointments and helped with some small jobs relating to a redecoration job. He was friendly, punctual and reasonably priced.

Sandy came out to help us get a boiler working. He responded very promptly to my text and kept to his promised time. It was not a straightforward job as it involved removing a cupboard to get proper access to the meter and then a lot of investigating to work out what was wrong. He was really thorough and professional and also very friendly. I think he did a good job for a fair price and would definitely recommend him.

I phoned at 12 noon as had gone through an electric cable with a drill and Sandy came out at 4pm and let me know he'd text before he came round, got text 20-30 mins before he arrived. Got cable sorted very quickly and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Mr Ramage gave me a very realistic quote for the job I requested & he accommodated additional work, which I added later, with patience & politeness. He started the work promptly following acceptance of his quote & he gave me good notification of return visits to complete jobs. Had a couple of really old sockets (in an old Victorian flat) where one nearly caught fire. Needed urgent replacement.

Called Sandy (between Xmas & New Year!) and the issue was sorted out very professionally. The job sounded very simple but a lot of care and attention was given by Sandy, who took the time to explain what he was doing, as well as offering some sound advice.

I hired Sandy to rewire my house. Due to the size of the job he enlisted some additional help to speed up the process, which I appreciated. He gave me a very clear quote and all the work was laid out and costed. I asked them to take on a bit of additional work in terms of wiring up a speaker system for a home cinema room, which they were more than happy to do.

He communicated very clearly and was very responsive to my messages.

I had an unrelated plumbing issue occur during the job and Sandy relieved some of my stress by managing the repairs.

Overall they've done a great job and I've not had any issues.

Alex and Kieran just finished a small job for us (adding two new electrical points) and were lovely to work with, fairly priced, and did a great job. They arrived on time, communicated with me throughout the job, and cleaned up thoroughly.

Fantastic job installing a new oven, some work was needed on the kitchen unit so it would fit. Sandy arranged for a joiner to come with him, I didn't have to do anything. A first class job, I would and have recommended to neighbours and friends

Sandy did brilliant work installing ceiling pendants, a flush ceiling fitting, a chandelier, a bulkhead, tracks and USB plug sockets in my Victorian tenement flat. Very reliable, quick, tidy, trustworthy and at a good price. Sandy was great working in an old flat (which, we found out, had some very old wiring insulated with newspaper hidden away!) and he went the extra mile to tidy up existing electrical issues. Also, when one of the switches was faulty, Sandy came back the next day and fixed it right away. A class act, highly recommended.

Re-wire garage circuits, install 2 x LED battens and light switch.  Install 1 x single socket for garage door, remove old strip lights and several old metal fixing rods: The work done was very good, it has transformed a dark garage into a well-lit place, with safe wiring and electrical sockets.  I also had some sockets moved in the house at an earlier date - also done efficiently by Sandy Ramage.

Fitting illuminated bathroom mirror: Excellent job done.  Would definitely use again.

Replacement bathroom extractor fan: Electrician arrived promptly.  He was very friendly, explained what he was doing and completed the job quickly.  He was very tidy and organised and cleaned up, leaving no mess.  All in all excellent service.  I would certainly recommend him and will use this company again for any future electrical jobs I may have.

Carried out safety test on entire property including checking previous contractors installation.  Removed 2 existing distribution boards supply power to different parts of the house and replaced with one to cover entire property.  Installed 2 additional double sockets.  Rectified issues with overheating lights and faulty switches and sockets.  Changed all existing switches and sockets to new slim line version (approx. 15 sockets and 10 switches).  Traced and rectified wiring joints throughout the property.  Re-wired the kitchen lighting.  Re-wired/repaired circuits in hall, landing and power sockets.  Re-wired bathroom lighting circuit.  Installed fused supply to bathroom.  De-installed 13A socket outlets from cooker circuit.  Installed new socket for microwave: I contacted Sandy as I was having various electrical issues having had another contractor carry out work on my house during renovation. Sandy responded to my inquiry promptly and arranged to visit the house to review the situation the next day.  It didn't take him long to confirm my fears and within 48 hours I had a comprehensive quote from him to carry out the work which included testing the existing wiring along with the new kitchen and bathroom installations carried out by the previous contractor.  A 2 day job became 4 but he worked around his other commitments to get the job done.  In my opinion, he is a true professional with first class experience who can be trusted to do the work efficiently and compliantly and not overcharge.  I felt safe in his hands and gave him the keys to my house with no hesitation.  Sandy carried out the work timeously, efficiently and with minimal disruption.  He kept me well informed at all times and sent me pictures of the progress while I was away.  I can't thank him enough for cleaning up after the previous dodgy contractor.  I only wish I had used him in the first place. I strongly recommend if you need an electrician to give him a call.

Double socket put in bedroom: Very neat job.  Phoned beforehand to confirm time of arrival.  Helpful suggestions as to siting the socket.  Friendly and courteous.  Highly recommended.
