Our ideas were listened to and alternative suggestions made and discussed. We were satisfied that the final plans reflected the best layout for our house. Now that the building work has been completed, we are delighted with the finished design.

We used the services provided by Thomson Hunter to plan out and draw plans for an extension to our home. Fiona and Andrew provided us with several proposals and we were able to adapt these to a layout perfect for us. They took charge of submitting, and following up, all of the necessary paperwork for planning and were able to guide us when there were queries from the planning department. They are always quick to respond to emails or phone calls and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

The work involved design of a house renovation including rear extension - this covered handling all planning and associated processes and supervision of build. The review really reflects the work of the architect involved - Grant Herron - although supervised he was the main contact and service provider.
The work was carried out during the Covid shut down and allowances have been made for the restrictions involved.
Grant was very professional in his approach and carried out the elements of the work he was responsible for timeously and worked well with our chosen contractors Chris Stewart who was responsible for the build, Milligan Electrical and Gibson & Goold for electrics and heating respectively.
Grant handled the unexpected issues that always come up in this type of work and liaised with appropriate contractors/suppliers where necessary. All in a good job.

Thomson Hunter prepared plans for a kitchen extension of 15 sq m, in 2020. The design encompasses modern concepts and construction, which blends seamlessly with a traditional bungalow. The interaction with the architect was very good, with all timelines in the four stages met, from initial planning through to submission and approval

Thomson Hunter Architects Ltd were responsible for our refurbishment programme within The Park Hotel, Kilmarnock, this included a toilet block extension to our function suite, convert our restaurant to a function suite, refurbish our restaurant and also planned and designed our new bar/coffee shop. The company and the architects we dealt with were very professional and their design ideas were excellent and very much suited to our existing building design. We carried out all this extensive work within the hotel without an actual Project Manager, Thomson Hunter Architects helped us immensely managing all of the projects. Communication from them was superb and response to queries was immediate, available by email and phone at all times. Our developments overlapped the COVID-19 Pandemic and the assistance Thomson Hunter Architects Ltd gave us during that time was invaluable. We would highly recommend.
