Complete redecoration of several rooms over a number of years - four bedrooms, dining room, bathroom.
Alistair is an excellent tradesman. He sets himself high standards and does first class work. He is scrupulously honest and totally reliable.

Alistair is so reliable, and so helpful. His work is immaculate. Very professional. The finish is flawless. He takes no time at all to do a good job. He gives you all the time you need to complete a job. He has allocated 6 weeks to paint and decorate where needed my full flat which has 3 bedrooms, 2 living areas, 4 bathrooms, kitchen, balcony railings and on two floors with staircase.

Redecorated Lounge
Work done was of high standard. Also given helpful advice on nature of work required

Removed all old wall paper from roof and walls, rubbed walls down to remove bumps etc, lining paper on all surfaces, then wallpaper. Painted ceiling,frieze and walls. Removed all debris and left room clean and tidy. All done with friendly, professional attitude.

Alastair worked hard, kept room as tidy as possible and was always punctual. He also helped to remove light fitting, blinds etc.

INTERNAL REDECORATION OF HOUSE
ALISTAIR HAS BEEN DECORATING MY HOUSE, INSIDE AND OUTSIDE, FOR SEVENTEEN YEARS. HE IS HIGHLY SKILLED, VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND RELIABLE. I TRUST HIM WITH MY HOUSE KEYS.

Kitchen, stairwell and upstairs landing stripped and re-papered. Two ceiling areas painted twice with any cracks having been taped and sanded. All newly papered walls given two coats of paint. All woodwork prepared and given two coats of paint. Handrails on stair sanded and stained.
All work was carried out in a thoroughly professional manner. Alistair started work early every morning and worked for the whole day. We are very happy with everything and would be happy to recommend to others.

Decoration of hall,stairs and landing,over three floors. A very professional undertaking carried out in a courteous and reliable manner.

Prepare and paint ceiling/cornice, strip and reaper walls with textured vinyl, apply 2 coats of Matt and repaint all woodwork.

Internal Redecoration of Hallway & Vestibule.
Ceilings:- Prepare, retape, fill and apply 2 coats of Super Latex white matt. Walls:- Prepare, line radiator wall, hang super fresco pat no 18394 and apply 2 coats of trade tinted soft sheen finish
Woodwork:- Prepare and apply 2 coats of trade white satan finish

Alistair is meticulous in everything he does and his standard of workmanship is second to none. The work site is always tidy and at the end of the day everything is cleaned up and tidied away in preparation for the next day. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alistair to anyone who wants a first class job done.

External Painting of House and Garage i.e. Rhone's & Downpipes, Eaves & Fascia's, Window Frames, Doors & Surrounds, Side Gate & Partitions. Excellent job, very pleased with end result, would use this firm again, highly recommend.

Prepare and apply 3 coats of wood preservative to all external wood and apply undercoat and a gloss finish to my handrails and gates.
Alistair carried out everything required to my complete satisfaction and worked in a professional manner and explained to me everything that was necessary to complete the job.

Removed woodchip from ceilings, prepared, crosslined, hung textured vinyl, apply 2cts of white matt, prepare and apply 2cts of tinted matt finish to the walls throughout, 2cts of white satin to the woodwork, 2cts of tinted woodstain to the doors.
Work was carried out efficiently and Alistair worked hard to carry the work out in the timescale given.

Apply 2 coats of White emulsion to the ceiling/cornice, 2 coats of tinted durable matt to the walls & 2 coats of quick drying satin varnish to the woodwork.

Painting of outside of ground floor flat - windowsills, frames, doors and down pipes
Very tidy work by 2 painters who explained reasons for all work undertaken. Some shrubs required to be cut back to gain access. This was done after permission was obtained and refuse tidied away. Very satisfactory result and we would have no hesitation in recommending them - not the cheapest but worth the extra.

External Redecoration of House and Garage.
All work was carried out to a very high standard. Mr Strachan went out of his way to please in all aspects of the work. I would recommend Mr Strachan to anyone else and would certainly use his firm again.

The quality of the work is excellent and the preparation of the work surfaces was very meticulous.

Mr Strachan's work is of a high standard. Care is always taken to protect furnishings, carpets, etc. Everything is left clean & tidy.

Varnishing window sills following the installation of replacement double glazed windows.
The work was done to a very high standard. Alistair is completely trustworthy and can be left alone to get on with his work.

As usual the work was done very professionally and cleanly. Also as usual Alistair worked very hard and the amount of disruption was kept to a minimum.

Alistair was true to his word and very reliable about what the job involved, a great comfort as a customer. He explained the different properties of the paints he used and worked dilligently throughout as the work was weather dependent. He reassured me as to the fabric of the existing windows and was extremely conscientious in all he did, even offering to return and help open windows at a later date should they be stuck.
