I have selected Elco Electrical and Technical Services to install new electrical consumer unit together with installing additional earthing in the flat.

- Reasonable quote. A very well scoped requirements of the job with a few options to choose from.

- Installation. Clean, seamless instillation with a minimum power downtime which was handy while working from home.

Moreover, Adam identified that the earthing in the property wasn't wired correctly which wasn't initially identified by one of the main electrical companies which I commissioned to prepare Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). He liaised with Scottish Power and the issue was resolved on the day with no extra cost.

Professional and easy-going, I couldn't recommend more.

We got our consumer unit (fuse box) upgraded to a much safer unit (was previously a fuse wire board). Adam explained all the options available, with a full explanation of the benefits and drawbacks of each option at each price bracket. Excellent communication and open to questions you have about the options.

We also got our bathroom lights changed to IP rated units.

He did a really neat job, very tidy after too.

I had a list of small jobs needing done in my flat. One was to diagnose a previous problem that had been bypassed with an emergency workaround years ago. I called Adam from Elco. He made time for me in his schedule and was upfront about cost (very reasonable!) + timeframe expectations… fault-finding, of course, is not as predictable as installing a replacement extractor fan, for example. (I also needed two replacement extractor fans to be installed).

Anyway, Adam came, he assessed, and he conquered. He took my list of tasks and set to work, ticking each one off. He's super-efficient, knows his stuff, and committed to giving his client the best advice and service.

Partial rewire with a new fuse board and fitting of switched, sockets and light fitting. All work to spec and drawings to facilitate the fitting of a new kitchen and utility space. Work tested and certified to allow the application for a completion certificate.

High end work which could not be faulted. Will use again and have no hesitation in recommending.

ECIR Certificate, Pat Testing, fuse box changed, fire alarms & Carbon monoxide alarms installed as per new Scottish government legislation which was coming into force from feb 2020, I will recommend Adam without any doubt as all work done with high standards following government guidelines with respect to social distancing and a very friendly service.
